Summer Educator Retreats

Healthy students begin with healthy teachers. Our free full-day summer retreats give educators the time and tools to recharge, reduce stress, and foster resilience.

We’ve taught thousands of educators how to proactively support their mental health, model positive behavior for students, and cultivate healthier classrooms. Teachers receive free lunch and 7.5 contact hours towards the new CDE Licensure Requirements*.

Retreats are open to certified staff: classroom teachers, counselors, and administrators. Future trainings will be available for paraprofessionals, support staff and assistants

Registration for Summer 2026 retreats opens Wednesday, February 18th.

CDE Licensure Requirements

The Colorado Department of Education requires educators to complete 10 hours of professional development in student behavioral health and/or educating students with disabilities as part of the 90-hour license renewal process.

MPP’s Educator Retreats meet these criteria—making it easier than ever to fulfill this requirement while caring for your own mental health and learning practical tools to support your students.

Supporting Research

Overview

In 2023, we partnered with the National Institutes of Health to study our impact on 163 public school teachers, counselors, administrators, and school staff from multiple school districts in the Pikes Peak Region. The study evaluated the effectiveness and impact our 8-week mindfulness and positive psychology training.

Key Findings

  • Training was highly effective in improving the mental and emotional well-being of educators.

  • Significant improvements in perceived stress, anxiety, burnout, and resilience after 8-weeks of training, with improvements maintained at 2 month follow-up.

  • Teachers began regularly using mindfulness tools in their daily lives and incorporating them into their classrooms.

Improved Educator Well-Being

Significantly lower stress, anxiety, and burnout; and increased resilience.

Mindfulness In Practice

133% increased weekly use of mindfulness tools to support well-being.

Positive Impact on Students

75% increased use of mindfulness and positive psychology tools in the classroom.
